In Proforge 3/3.5
Makertech Cura for windows and Cura profiles are now up along with the "First Print" stage of the build manual. We're working over the weekend to get back to emails, address certain concerns, and push towards getting the upgrade manuals uploaded. We plan on releasing a detailed update very soon along with the progress of pre-assembled machines too. Thank you again everyone for your patience! https://makertech-3d.dozuki.com/Guide/Stage+09:+First+Print/95?lang=en

The Dual Extrusion Splitter for the Axis 3d printer has been updated. The new design reduces the likelihood of jamming and provides a straighter path for the filament. We've also removed the need for the short PTFE tubes inside the splitter. It uses the same hardware already included with the original splitter however you will also need three M3 x 10mm or longer bolts and three M3 nyloc nuts to secure the two halves of the splitter together. The new splitter is available for download here: Axis Dual Splitter v2_Front Axis Dual Splitter v2_Back In addition to the updated splitter the instruction for dual extrusion have been updated too. Specifically with the addition of step 9 of stage 4: https://makertech-3d.dozuki.com/Guide/Stage+04:+First+Dual+Print/64?lang=en#s796 By adding the post processing step it removes the pauses that Cura inserts between switches. Time-lapse of printing, both approx. 6 hours. (unfortunately we ran out of daylight before the cat print finished):

Some of the print platforms that were shipped were unfortunately slightly warped making larger prints difficult to stick. It would also make the fibreglass heated bed hard to stick to it also.  We've been working on a solution and have now released a new and improved platform that combines the heater element and platform into one 3mm aluminium bed.   Besides just being flatter, there is better heat distribution to the edges and to the steel Flexplate. The steel Flexplate also grips better to the new  platform (less likely to slip) and the magnets also perform better. There’s also no need for the springs any more, it just fixes straight  onto the stand-offs. It also runs at a higher wattage and heats up quicker too. 📷 Aluminium Heated Print Platform 📷 Unfortunately we're not be able to offer it as a free replacement but we are making it available at essentially a cost price. It's now available for pre-order (until 26th May) for £20. We're hoping to start sending them out on the 10th of June. RRP after the pre-order window will be £36. Tracked shipping: UK Shipping: £2.99 EU Shipping: £8.99 International Shipping: £11.99 Further note on shippping: The size/weight heated platform (0.65KG) on it’s own just fits into our first shipping bracket, any extra item will tip the shipping into the next bracket. If you order anything else we would still ship everything together with the new platform around the 10th of June. Some people are reporting issues with their print platform being slightly warped, that is being worsened by heating, further causing the heated bed to separate from the platform. Although auto-levelling should compensate for smaller prints, larger prints that take up the entire platform will be affected by the curvature. We're recommending that people temporarily try to *carefully* bend the platform straight as we are working on upgrading this component to a thicker aluminium sheet that also has the heating element built into it. We’re expecting the new platform to be a lot more flat and rigid, and also distribute heat better and more evenly. More news on this to come in the following weeks.

We're currently looking into the possibility of the LED strip lights creating shorts with the metal frame and therefore recommend that in the meantime people avoid installing it until we're sure if this is a universal problem or not.

The Proforge 2/2S is a large kit with a great many number of parts; sometimes mistakes are made and we might have missed something. Before starting your build it's a good idea to check that you have everything outlined in the included booklet. If you're missing a part or have received a part that is damaged/broken please fill out this form and we'll get it sorted for you asap. We're also aware that a number of people are missing M5 T-nuts, there should have been a total of 30 (+some spares) included in the "Other Fasteners" bag, if you're short on these parts please use the form and we'll send more out. You may also be able to get a hold of these a little quicker locally on Ebay/Amazon if you're outside of the UK.
